Audit issues: critical, warning, notice

How issues are grouped, and how Beacon tracks them until they're fixed.

Every audit crawls your pages and groups findings into three buckets by how much they hurt you.

  • Critical — directly blocks search engines or users: broken pages, missing titles, slow load times. Fix these first.
  • Warning — won't break anything today but slowly erodes rankings if ignored: thin descriptions, missing image alt text, weak headings.
  • Notice — nice-to-have improvements that add polish once the bigger items are done.

Issues are tracked, not just listed

Beacon remembers every issue between audits. When a later audit sees a problem is gone, the issue is marked resolved instead of silently disappearing — so you can see what got fixed, when, and whether it came back.

On Starter and above, many content issues can be fixed directly from Beacon with manual Auto-Fix — see the Auto-Fix section of this help center.
