Fix statuses: ready, applied, stale, and more
What each fix status means and how drift protection keeps changes safe.
Every proposed fix moves through a clear lifecycle so you always know its state:
- Ready — drafted and waiting for your approval.
- Applied — live on your site, with one-click Undo available.
- Stale — your live content changed since the scan, so the draft no longer matches reality. Re-scan to get fresh proposals.
- Dismissed — you rejected it; Beacon won't propose the same change again.
- Undone — you reverted it; it also won't be re-proposed.
- Failed — the platform rejected the change (for example, revoked credentials). The fix stays visible so you can retry after fixing the connection.
Drift protection
Before applying or undoing, Beacon re-checks your live content. If someone edited the page in the meantime, Beacon refuses to overwrite their work and marks the fix stale instead. Undo only restores the original value if the page still contains exactly what Beacon applied.
Changing a project's site URL or platform clears its pending fixes — drafts written for one site never carry over to another.
