Tracking keywords in a project

Add keywords to a project and Beacon checks your Google position for each.

Inside a project, the Keywords tab is where you track the terms that matter for that site. When you add a keyword, Beacon checks where the site ranks on Google and keeps refreshing that position over time.

Reading positions

• Position 1–10 is page one of Google. Position 1 is the top result.
• Positions 11+ are page two or later — where very few people click.
• Falling from position 10 to 11 is a bigger deal than falling from 3 to 4: traffic drops sharply at the page boundary.

Each keyword also shows its recent movement, so you can see at a glance which terms are climbing and which are slipping.
